Overview

I ordered these darts from Amazon after learning about them from BuffDaddy via BlasterHub. They are packaged in the cardboard wrapped clamshell, protecting the product fairly well. Once you remove the clamshell from the box it hinges open – so much easier than dealing with a glued cardboard back.

The foam is dense, feeling comparable to both the genuine Accustrike and Buzz Bee Precise Pro darts, though with a slightly thicker wall. The dart shaft is the same length as an Accustrike but a mil or so longer than the Precise Pro.  The head is ever so slightly domed and just a mil shorter than the Accustrikes, placing its overall length in the middle between a Precise Pro and Accustrike.

I ran these darts through a pretty decent cross-section of blasters from my cache. All were stock. I will note I did not test any stringer as I do not own any. My tests were primarily aimed at compatibility and general accuracy, but do not concern themselves with distance or speed.

In general, these worked well. I only had issues with two blasters tested, one expected, one not. The general groupings at about 20 feet were reasonably tight and would certainly serve well in close range tests. Even the deflections off of the target were surprisingly close together.

General Testing Method

As this was primarily targeting compatibility, I ran an unfired set of darts through each blaster. For clipazine devices, the Turbo Advance, and the Barbarian, I used five darts. For all others, I fired the capacity of the blaster. The only exception to this was the Destiny, which fired a full clip of once fired darts. These were fired down  short hallway at a target roughly 20 feet away.

Issues

The blaster I tried and expected to fail was the Dart Zone Quickfire 8. The darts were too long for the chamber to rotate in a blaster designed for Dart Zone Super Darts. There were a few where the stiffer foam walls made it a tight fit to get the darts in the tubes, but that translated to an issue only one, the double drum Buzz Bee Barbarian, also sold as the Adventure Force Decimator. For this test, I ran the supplied Buzz Bee Long Distance darts in one drum and the Sureshots in the other. There was a significantly noticeable difference in the amount of force needed to fire the Sureshots. The first time I thought something was stuck.

Quality

I had one dart that completely lacked glue on the head. Beyond that, I did not find any glue slop, darts stuck to each other, or other production issues.

Resulting Opinion

These aren’t bad. The price is a nice step between Accustrike Darts and various third party, bulk darts. Should they get the Adventure Force trade dress, you can bet they’ll get cheaper.
